Johnston-Matney

Larry and Debbie Johnston of Terre Haute announce the marriage of their daughter, Gyna Johnston, to Corban Matney.

The couple were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, in New Life Fellowship at Seelyville. The Rev. Jeffrey Harpole officiated. 

A reception followed in the fellowship hall. They now reside in Terre Haute.

Shew-Miller

Kristy Marie Shew of Terre Haute and Joseph Stephen Miller of Naperville, Ill., were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Turkey Run State Park in Marshall, Ind.

Jack Holycross officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Lori and Mark Shew of Terre Haute. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in theology and political science from Valparaiso University and is a graduate student at Case Western Reserve University, studying for MSSA.

The bridegroom is the son of Dianne Derrick of Argyle, Wis., and Roy Miller of Houston. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in theater and public relations from Valparaiso University and is a law student at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Lauren Shew, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Katie Shew, sister of the bride, Gina Metheny, and Lisa Quraish, cousins of the bride, were bridesmaids.

Josh Miller, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Jon Hill, cousin of the bridegroom, Mickey Mulligan and Cory Nesemann were groomsmen.

Chet, Seth, Grant and Caleb Dickey, all cousins of the bride, were ushers.

Elianne Derrick, sister of the bridegroom, and Annie and Delaney Gerard, cousins of the bridegroom, were flower girls.

Noah Quraish, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception followed in Turkey Run Inn. The couple now reside in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
