Rita Emtanos Zaknoun and Patrick David Mitchell of Terre Haute were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Sept. 27, 2008, in Queen of All Saints Church at Michigan City, Ind.
The Rev. Terrence Chase officiated. Readings were provided by Fadi, John and Andre Zaknoun, brothers of the bride; and Youssef Zaknoun, brother-in-law of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Chafika and Tony Zaknoun of Michigan City. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in biology.
The bridegroom is the son of Laura and Charles Mitchell of Terre Haute. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in criminal justice, and a graduate of the Academy of Military Science. Second Lt. Mitchell is employed by the 181st Intelligence Wing of the Indiana Air National Guard.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Lilian Zaknoen, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Carrie Robinson and Lindsey Murrell; nieces of the bride, Jessica and Kristine Hawa; and cousin of the bride, Laura Zaknoun.
Josh Minix was best man. Craig Mitchell, brother of the bridegroom, and Ryan Hamilton, Michael Buell, Sean Hogan and Casey Kroll were groomsmen. George Zaknoen and Rich Dutka were ushers.
Emma and Andrea Zaknoun, nieces of the bride, were flower girls.
Joe and Alex Zaknoun, nephews of the bride, were ring bearers.
Megan Zaknoun was guest book attendant.
A dinner reception followed in the Pottawattomie Country Club at Michigan City.
A bridal luncheon shower was given July 13, 2008, in Maxine’s Restaurant at Michigan City.
The couple took a wedding trip to St. Lucia and now reside in San Angelo, Texas, where he attends training at Goodfellow Air Force Base.
Hutcheson-Johnson
Cara Hutcheson of Carbon and Michael Johnson of Terre Haute were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2008, in Bridgeton Baptist Church at Bridgeton.
Jack Hopkins officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Cathy and Ted Hutcheson of Carbon. She is a 2008 graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting, and is employed by Sackrider & Co.
The bridegroom is the son of Charlene and Tom Johnson of Terre Haute. He is a 2008 graduate of Butler University in Indianapolis with a bachelor of science degree in marketing, and is employed by State Industrial Products.
Candi Hutcheson, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Amanda Johnson, sister of the bridegroom, and Amber Porter, Karla Hopkins and Mikki Fowler.
Tim Johnson, brother of the bridegroom, and Tom Johnson, father of the bridegroom, were best men. Groomsmen were Wes Edens, Zack Mills and Nick Pringer, cousin of the bridegroom.
Haley Rickard was flower girl. Spencer and Mason Rickard were ring bearers.
A reception followed at Creek Side Acres in Bridgeton.
The couple took a wedding trip to Cayman Island.
