Mr. and Mrs. George Baker
Mr. and Mrs. George Baker of Robinson, Ill., and formerly of Terre Haute will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010.
The Bakers were married Dec. 23, 1960, in the First Baptist Church at Robinson by the Rev. Dr. Leland Boergadine.

Mrs. Baker, the former Marsha Watts, was a teacher for 29 years with the Vigo County School Corp.
Baker worked 29 years in Residential Life at Indiana State University.
The couple have three sons, Frank Baker and wife Ellen of Carmel, Brian Baker of Plano, Texas, and Clark Baker and wife Susan of Cloverdale. They also have five grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burns
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burns of Terre Haute and formerly of West Terre Haute celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children. A trip through the West is planned in the spring.
The couple were married Dec. 10, 1960.
Mrs. Burns is the former Carmen Davis.
The couple have two daughters, Kimberly Purcell and Penni Smith. They also have three grandchildren.
