Bose-Svoboda

Amy D. Bose and Chad R. Svoboda were united in marriage on Saturday, May 24, 2008, in Prairieton United Methodist Church.

The Revs. Dan Willis and Colleen A. Harden officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Joyce and Ed Bose of Terre Haute. She is a 2006 graduate of West Vigo High School and works for United Parcel Service in Terre Haute.

The bridegroom is the son of Janet and Carl Svoboda of West Terre Haute. He is a 2004 graduate of West Vigo High School and a supervisor at International House of Pancakes in Terre Haute.

Ashley Bose of Terre Haute, sister of the bride, was program attendant. Bridesmaids were Ariel Bose of Terre Haute, sister of the bride; Lesli Deal and Lori Jackson, both of Terre Haute; and Gillian Maher of West Terre Haute.

Groomsmen were Joey Svoboda of Terre Haute, brother of the bridegroom; Jeremy Steele and Mark Rockwood, both of Terre Haute; and Andy Svoboda of Las Vegas, brother of the bridegroom.

A dinner and dance reception followed in Zorah Shrine Temple.

The couple took a wedding trip to Cedar Point, Ohio, and now reside in Terre Haute.

Jacob-Whalen

Suzanne Renee Jacob and Dustin Erik Whalen were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008, in The White Chapel at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Bill Drummy officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Connie and Joe Jacob of Terre Haute. She is a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.

The bridegroom is the son of Mindy Whalen of Cory and Curt Whalen of Terre Haute. He is a graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Rose-Hulman.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

Juli Stratman, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Kim Kelly, Ashley Gangloff, Haley Corthum and Kaylin and Kyla Jarvis were bridesmaids.

Nathan Stratman, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man. Derik Whalen, brother of the bridegroom, Mark Matheny, and Jackson Jarvis were groomsmen.

Tom Jacob and Bryan Slay were ushers.

Rachael Stratman as flower girl was escorted by the ring bearer, Hayden Hughes.

A dinner and dance reception followed in the Plumbers and Steamfitters Recreation Hall in Terre Haute.

The couple took a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, and now reside in Terre Haute.
