College offers December wine workshops

Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, Ill., will offer community members an opportunity to learn about wine and seasonal wine pairings with a series of courses offered in December.

Instructor Joy Neighbors will lead “Celebrating with Holiday Cheer: Selecting a Holiday Wine,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. During this workshop, participants will taste six wines perfect for holiday events.

“Ring in the New Year: Selecting the Perfect Bubbly”, from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 18, will address the perfect wines for toasting your celebrations. Tasting techniques, pairings and history will be addressed.

No previous wine knowledge is required for these workshops, though they are designed for those with a serious interest in wine. All participants must be 21 years of age or older. An ID is required at all workshops.

Each workshop is $25 and meets at Tuscany Grill restaurant in Robinson.
