TERRE HAUTE —
The Madison County Master Gardeners Association will stage its Indiana Garden School I in Anderson on March 24 at the Madison Park Church of God, 6607 Providence Drive (just south off of the Interstate 69 and Indiana 109 exit (26), then one mile west of Menards). The facility has plenty of room for breakout sessions and is easily accessible.
The keynote speaker is the well-known Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp who writes the Hoosier Gardener column in the Indianapolis Star and is co-author of The Indiana Gardener’s Guide and founding editor and part owner of the Indiana Living Green magazine. A knowledgeable list of speakers are lined up for the day.
There will be four breakout sessions, with each session having five different topics to choose from. Lectures, hands-on workshops and discussions will be conducted for gardeners with any level of skill, experience or ability. Topics on introductory gardening and techniques as well as learning opportunities for the more advanced gardener will be available along with door prizes, an auction and a variety of vendor displays and supplies. Meet and informally visit with gardeners from across the state. Folder pickup starts at 8 a.m. with the program starting at 9 and concluding at 3:30 p.m. Cost is $30 or $40 per family (lunch included). Registration forms must be received by March 16. Pre-registration is advised.
