The next generation of bridge stars in the Valley are the 299ers of the Terre Haute Bridge Center. Margie Kintz is the current leader, just ahead of Connie Shattuck. These players had less than 300 master points at the beginning of the year. Show position belongs to strong contender, Mona Sternfeld. On the tournament trail; Joanna Hebermehl and Milt Van Reed placed first in section and third overall in open pairs and teamed with Dan Dorney and John Clark were second in a large Swiss Team event at the Evansville Sectional. Our Monday evening Fun Bridge game continues strong due to Laura Bright’s tutorials on bidding and play and Tana Holt and Mary Lunsford’s help in maintaining the fun atmosphere.
