Juanita Thompson of West Terre Haute celebrated her 90th birthday Saturday during a picnic with family and friends in Fairbanks Park. A family dinner is planned on her birthday, Sept. 12.

Thompson was born Sept. 12, 1920, in Dennison, Ill., to Orville Taylor and Josephine Weaver Taylor. She and her late husband, Foster Thompson, married Aug. 23, 1942.
Thompson worked at Schultz Department Store in Terre Haute and is a member of the United Methodist Church in West Terre Haute. She has two children, Loren Thompson of Avon and Linda (and Jim) Plew of West Terre Haute. She also has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Paul A. Ingle of Terre Haute celebrated his 90th birthday Saturday during a family gathering.
Ingle was born Sept. 8, 1920, in Terre Haute to Kenneth Ingle and Ruth Wilmington Ingle.
He graduated from Gerstmeyer Technical High School in 1938. He and his late wife, Mary Jo Johnson, married in July 1942. He entered the U.S. Army Air Force Group in October 1942, and was stationed in Watton, England, until his tour of duty ended in November 1945.
After his military service, Ingle was a draftsman for an architectural firm in Terre Haute for 35 years, and worked for the Housing Authority of the City of Terre Haute until his retirement.
Ingle has five children, Paula Jo (and Gary) Truelove, Jane Ingle, Jill (and Don) Pruett, and Tom and David Ingle, all of Terre Haute. He also has 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
