Colonel Gary D. Brewer was promoted to Wing Commander of the 161st Air Refueling Wing, Air National Guard, Phoenix, Ariz, on Aug. 4.
Colonel Brewer graduated from Worthington Jefferson High School in 1985, where he was then selected to go to the United States Air Force Academy.
He graduated from the Academy in 1989.
His parents are Gary and Judy Brewer of Worthington in Greene County.
His father is retired from the Terre Haute National Guard.
