WEDDINGS: Oct. 28, 2012

Woodward-Vrabic

Lindsay Elizabeth Woodward of Nashville, Tenn., and Ryan Richard Vrabic of Nashville, and formerly of Terre Haute, were united in marriage at 5 p.m. May 27, 2012, in Springhaven Mansion at Hendersonville, Tenn.

The bride is the daughter of Marvin and Amy Woodward of John’s Creek, Ga. She is a 2011 graduate of Belmont University, where she is employed.

Vrabic is the son of Rick and Barb Vrabic of Terre Haute. He is pursuing a degree in music at Belmont University, and is employed by the Farm at Natchez Trace in Nashville.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Minister Glenn Robb officiated.

Valarie Woodward of Johns Creek, Ga., sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Nick Vrabic of Terre Haute, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Peter Vrabic, was best dog.

Victoria and Jacqueline Gaston and Samantha Greasor were guest book attendants.

Aidyn Duncan was flower girl. Spencer and Preston Duncan were ringbearers.

Joseph and Lucas Vrabic, cousins of the bridegroom, and Chad Sheppard and Rob Williams, cousins of the bride, were ushers.

A couple’s shower was hosted by family in April in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, north campus, and another was hosted by church family in Roswell, Ga.

A reception followed in the Springhaven Mansion.

The couple took a wedding trip to the Gatlinburg, Tenn., area.



Draper-Gibson

Laura Elizabeth Draper and Jacob Scott Gibson were married Oct. 13, 2012, at Fowler Park in southern Terre Haute.  

Pastor Keith McIntyre performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Sue Draper of Clinton. The bridegroom is the son of Scott and Felicia Gibson of Clinton.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Natalie Draper, as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jaclin Huxford and Michelle Natalie of Clinton, and Brooke Spitler of Evansville.  

Wesley Mills of Terre Haute was the best man. Groomsmen were Chris Vorek, Chris Hedges, and Dusty Gibson of Clinton.

Ushers were Tommy Nicholas and Lucas Mackey of Terre Haute, and Amos Folck and Joe Ingram of Clinton.

Sienna Berry was the flower girl and Blaze Berry was the ring bearer, both of Clinton.  

A dinner and dance reception took place in the Fraternal Order of the Eagles at Clinton.  

The bride and bridegroom are both 2009 graduates of South Vermillion High School.

Laura attends the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, and is finishing a bachelor’s degree in biology/pre-veterinary medicine this spring. She plans to pursue a veterinary medicine degree from Purdue University.

The bridegroom is serving as a Petty Officer, 3rd Class in the United States Navy, stationed in Virginia Beach, Va., and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in fire science from Kaplan University.

The couple took an autumn wedding trip to Brown County, Ind.



Phillips-Martin

Karen Phillips of Terre Haute and Larry Martin of Robinson, Ill., were united in marriage Oct. 11, 2012, in Abbey Inn Wedding Chapel at Nashville, Ind.

Ms. Phillips is retired from the Vigo County School Corp. Martin is retired from the Marathon Refinery in Robinson.

They took a trip to Nashville, Tenn., and now reside in Terre Haute.
