Our 299ers had less than 300 master points as of Jan. 1, 2009. Margie Kintz won this category last year and is headed for a repeat this year. Runner-up is her regular partner, Connie Shattuck, who has a chance to rake in all the marbles if she just capitalizes on her present circumstances. Up to a week ago her bridge playing dates were limited to twice a week, the date she retired from her longtime job at Indiana Sate University. We had hoped to see her at all our bridge games since then but so far, she has rebuffed our suggestions. Show position in this race is Carolyn Steinbaugh, who is a multi year winner herself. Joan Chervenko is next followed by Mona Sternfeld, Jim Jennings, Charles Parks, Rick Kleinheksel, Sharon Mason, Arlene Luchsinger, Bob Logsdon, Charles Bryan, Sr, Mark Minar, Ruth Ann Tooloose, Linda Easton, Gretchen Weston, Marty Cornelius, Margaret Oyer, Nancy Shriner, Dr Jayesh Ramolia, Dan Scott, John Barnes, Sunny Cohen, Alice Goodyear, Joyce McWilliams, Bill Hawk, Susan McCarthy, Margie Knotts, Janet Page, Charles Bryan, Jr, Shirley Drake, Jane Mills, Mel and Lucia Sinn, Teddy Day, Clint Baldwin, Ann Kleinheksel, David and Mary Halsted and Barbara Phelan.
