United Way seeks volunteers

TERRE HAUTE — United Way of the Wabash Valley is looking for volunteers to help evaluate how best to distribute campaign donor dollars to meet the pressing human service needs in the Wabash Valley. Volunteers are needed to serve as members of the review teams during the 2010 agency program funding review process.

Volunteers who serve on the UWWV review teams recommend to the United Way Community Impact Committee and, ultimately to the United Way Board of Directors, how the funds raised in the United Way campaign should be used for the greatest benefit to the people of the Wabash Valley, and how the money should actually be distributed to more than 90 health and human service programs of the United Way partner agencies. The time commitment for participation in this year’s review process is early January through mid-February. Approximately 80 volunteers are needed for this process. For more information, call Mark Johnson, Community Impact Director, at (812) 235-6287, ext. 15, e-mail at mark.johnson@

unitedway.org, or write to the United Way of the Wabash Valley at P.O. Box 3094, Terre Haute, IN 47803-0094.
