Presentation on leadership at The Woods

ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS — On Tuesday, Will Keim, a motivational speaker who has spoken to more than two million students, faculty, and staff from 2,000 campuses in the United States and Canada, will give a special presentation at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College titled “Leadership in the 21st Century: Improving Your Serve.” During Keim’s presentation, he will reveal the Ten Essential Leadership Characteristics and how each individual can be empowered to change their campus, company, city, state, nation and world. The presentation, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Cecilian Auditorium of the SMWC Conservatory of Music Building.

Changing world political realities, population demographics, the environment, and hunger are just four issues demanding a new style of leadership for the 21 Century — a leadership style based on cooperation and community building, not competition. Keim’s presentation will teach participants the basic notion, attitude, assumption, reality and challenge of working for and with others.

Keim is co-author of the books “Let Your Leadership Speak! How To Lead And Be Heard,” “Pillars of Success” with Pat Summit and Alexander Haig, and “Mission Possible” with Stephen Covey and Brian Tracy.

In addition to his speaking engagements on college and university campuses, he also has a number of corporate clients including AT, IBM, State Farm Insurance and Delta Airlines. He has also worked with state human resource departments and development organizations. He is the author of “The Education of Character: Lessons for Beginners,” “Spirit Journey,” “Life after College,” “The Truth About College,” and “The Tao of Christ.” and he is a contributing author to “Chicken Soup for the College Soul,” “Let Your Leadership Speak,” and “Greek Inspirations.”
