Anniversaries: Aug. 19, 2012

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Shumaker

Kenneth Shumaker and Rosemary (Phillips) Shumaker of Granberry, Texas, and formerly of Marshall, Ill., were married Sept. 13, 1962.

Please join us to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, in the fellowship hall of Clarksville Baptist Church at Clarksville, Ill. We will renew our vows at 2 p.m. Your presence is our gift.

Rosemary is retired from the Illinois State Police. Kenneth is retired after 18 years at J.I. Case.

They have two daughters, Theresa Monroe (Charles) of Lipan, Texas, and the late Yvette Shumaker. They also have five grandsons, Levi (Jamie) Parker of Mansfield, Texas, Kyle Bumpus of El Paso, Texas, Jacob Monroe of Pampa, Texas, Millis and Andrew Monroe of Weatherford, Texas; two great-grandsons, Isaac and Ethan Parker; and one great-granddaughter, Michelle Tennessee.



Mr. and Mrs. John Stiegelbauer

John and Alta Stiegelbauer celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 16, 2012. Cards are welcomed and may be sent to 575 Farrington St., Terre Haute, IN 47807.

The Stiegelbauers were married in St. Benedict Catholic Church.

Alta is retired from Heavy Duty Truck Parts after 41 years. John retired from Hulman & Co. after 47 years.

John and Alta have two children, Patty Heinig (Mark) of Kokomo and Mike Stiegelbauer (Patty) of Terre Haute.

The couple will celebrate with a special family dinner with their two children, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  



Mr. and Mrs. Ric Gansz

Ric Gansz and Debi LeMay Gansz of Terre Haute observed their 25th wedding anniversary on Aug. 15, 2012. The also celebrated with a trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., and the Smokies, as they did on their honeymoon.

They were married Aug. 15, 1987, at East Glenn Assembly of God Church by the Rev. Larry Riley.

Debi is employed by the city of Terre Haute. Ric retired from the Air Force in 1997, worked 14 years at Newport Chemical Depot, and is now employed by Sunset Harbor in Terre Haute.



Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller

Paul and Mary Miller of Blackhawk, Ind., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012.

Cards are welcome and may be sent to: 6698 E. Rudisell Drive, Terre Haute, IN 47802.

Mrs. Miller is the former Mary Evelyn Williams of Clarksville, Tenn. Paul is a retired farmer who has resided in the Blackhawk area all of his life. They both continue to enjoy living on the family farm, as well as collecting and restoring farm antiques.

Paul and Mary have three children, Greg Miller and wife Mary of Newburgh, Ind., Lisa Schaefer and husband Jim of Evansville, Ind., and Julie Miller of Bloomington, Ind. They also have two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
