The annual Mason-Hayes reunion will be Aug. 26 at the Ute Shelter at Deming Park.
Families should bring a covered side dish, drinks and table service. Grilled meats will be provided. Lunch will begin at 1 p.m. Live music and games for the kids will be offered. Those who wish to be part of the music should bring their musical talent and instrument.
Thirteen children were born to Perry and Rebecca Hayes-Mason. The children were Nora Mason-Shaffer, Mary Mason-Lee, Linzy Mason Sr., Tillie Mason-Waller, Edna Mason-Travioli, William, Charles and Herbert Mason, Nellie Mason-Barnes, Hazel Mason-Heather, and Elmer, Thomas and Maude Mason.
Family members are working on a family tree; family members are encouraged to bring information to the reunion such as dates of birth, deaths and marriages. Photocopies of pictures will be paid for. Also needed are stories, occupations and other information that could be included. Those with questions should call Jeff Mason at (812) 870-6465.
