Terre Foods annual meeting is Wednesday

TERRE HAUTE — Terre Foods Cooperative Market’s annual meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Central Presbyterian Church on Seventh Street.

The purpose of the meeting is to report on the co-op’s activities and progress as well as to inform the public of its up-coming plans and activities.

Members will have a chance to meet new members of the board of directors as well as to ask questions and learn more about the co-op.

Those who aren’t members can learn about the co-op and about how to become a member. The co-op is especially interested in hearing from people who are interested in becoming involved with the steering committee and the organization’s various working groups. TFCM currently has 471 members; its target is 600.

The goal of the cooperative is to open a full-service, member-owned grocery store that features natural, organic and locally-produced foods.
