TERRE HAUTE —
Join Cliff Sadof as he discusses the impact the Emerald ash borer has on local communities, at 12:10 p.m. Monday at the Vigo County Public Library.
Residents in cities like Fort Wayne and Columbus, Ohio, have watched their neighborhood trees decimated by infestations of the Emerald ash borer.
As far as local experts have examined, Vigo County has not yet become infested. This program teaches how to prepare and combat the Emerald ash borer for when infestations hit.
Sadof is a professor in the Department of Entomology at Purdue University. Sadoff will also stay until 2 p.m. to discuss best practices in detail. Local experts will also be in attendance to help guide residents looking for more national and local resources.
No reservations are needed to attend the brown bag program; attendees may bring a lunch.
