TERRE HAUTE —
The 2011 Kiwanis Christmas Ornament project raised more than $2,000 to support the club’s projects which include The BUG Program (Bring Up Grades), Geography Quiz Bowl and Kiwanis Kids Christmas Party. In addition, the club also donated funds to Riley Children’s Hospital, 14th & Chestnut Community Center and purchased bears for distribution at Union Hospital’s emergency room.
The iconic landmarks on the 2012 ornament are the Indiana Theatre and the old Union Station, which was demolished in 1960. These authentic pictures came from the postcard collection of John Becker, a club member, and the ornament was locally produced by Bill Adams, formerly of Artisan Art Glass.
Ornaments can be purchased on:
• Nov. 30 at First Financial Springhill and THSB Meadows;
• Dec. 1 at Locust Street IGA and Mike’s Market;
• Dec. 7 at Miracle on 7th Street;
• Dec. 12 at the Courthouse Rotunda;
• Dec. 14 at Baesler’s Market;
• Dec. 15 at Baesler’s Market, THSB Main and First Financial Springhill;
• Dec. 19 at the Vigo County Annex;
• Dec. 21 at Locust Street IGA; and
• Dec. 22 at Baesler’s Market, THSB South and First Financial Springhill.
The ornaments are $10 and will enable the club to continue serving kids of the Wabash Valley.

Circle K, the college campus version of Kiwanis, will also be selling this ornament on the Indiana State University campus to help raise funds to attend Kiwanis Circle K conferences.
