ANNIVERSARIES: Oct. 7, 2012

Mr. and Mrs. Herley Johnson

Herley and Lena Johnson of Terre Haute recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with out-of-town family.

They were married Sept. 29, 1962, by the Rev. J. E. Barksdale at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Terre Haute where they have remained active members.

Mrs. Johnson, the former Lena Elizabeth Ladd, is retired from Sony DADC after 15 years.

Mr. Johnson is retired from Alcan after 45 years, and is now a driver for Area 7 Agency on Aging and Disabled.

The couple have two daughters, Zina Johnson of Terre Haute and Shari (and David) Ivey of Anderson. They also have two grandchildren, Aarynton and Whitney.



Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Maxwell

Jerry and Judy Maxwell of Terre Haute will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 5, 2012, and plan a trip to Hawaii to celebrate.

The Maxwells were married Oct. 5, 1962, in Burnett Church by the Rev. Walter Volkers.

Mrs. Maxwell, the former Judy Bouillez, is retired from Union Hospital.

Jerry is retired from Duke Energy.

The couple have three children, Lori Russell of Lynchburg, Va., Lisa Jennings of Goode, Va., and Jeff Maxwell of Terre Haute. They also have six grandchildren.
