Wedding: Jan. 9, 2011

Woodruff-Newton

Jessica Lee Woodruff and Jerod Cole Newton were united in marriage on “Sweetest Day,” Oct. 16, 2010, in the White Chapel at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

The bride is the daughter of Christie Cooprider of Bowling Green and Charles Woodruff of Brazil. She is a graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminology. She is employed by the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department, and serves as director of the Vigo County Crime Victim Assistance Program.

Newton is the son of Trudy and JR Newton of Terre Haute. He is a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and ISU with a bachelor’s degree in criminology. He is a case manager with Hamilton Center Addiction Services.

Pastor Larry Swan officiated. Matt Bolin provided guitar accompaniment for the bridegroom’s solo. Steven Savage assisted with ceremony music.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Melissa Barrett was honor attendant. Kathryn Minger, Heather Haynes-Savage, and Michelle Harden-Price were bridesmaids.

David Wire was best man. Lee Newton, John Black and Chad Glaze were groomsmen.

Travis Wilson and Evan Beeson were ushers.

Elizabeth Scoble was guestbook and program attendant.

A dinner and dance reception followed in O’Shaughnessy Hall at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.

The couple took a wedding trip to New York City and Bar Harbor, Maine, and now reside in Terre Haute.
