Vermillion Mega Park open for Memorial Day visitors

TERRE HAUTE — In observance of Memorial Day, Vermillion Rise Mega Park, with the assistance of the Vermillion County Sherriff’s Department, will accommodate cemetery visits between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. May 26 through May 28.

Visitors will need to register at Vermillion Rise Mega Park north gate and drive to the cemeteries located on the property. Maps will be provided. Cameras will be allowed.

Advanced arrangements and a valid photo ID for each visitor will be required for admission to Vermillion Rise Mega Park. One visitor in each vehicle will be required to provide a cell phone number to the sherriff’s deputy at the gate before entering.

Visitors can make advanced arrangements by calling the Vermillion Rise Mega Park main office at (765) 832-3870.

All arrangements for visits must be made by 4 p.m. Wednesday.

When calling, indicate the full name of those who will be attending, along with the day and time of your arrival.
