News Release
MARSHALL, ILL. —
Those who owe a fine for late materials at Marshall Public Library — no matter how large or small — can exchange it for a few cans of food now through Nov. 30.
“Food for Fines” gives anyone owing the library a fine for late books, DVDs, magazines, CDs or audio tapes the opportunity to have the charges erased from their library card record and to have their library borrowing privileges restored. If any “lost” library materials are returned, the materials charges will be converted to overdue fines, which may also be waived for those donating food items.
Bring at least one non-perishable food item for every $5 in fines owed to donate to the Marshall Food and Clothing Bank. For more information call the library at 217-826-2535. The library is at 612 Archer Ave.
