Emily Morris and Ryan Oilar were united in marriage on Nov. 28, 2008, during a sunset ceremony at The Fairmont Princess Acapulco at Acapulco, Mexico.
The bride is the daughter of Linda and Mike Morris of Terre Haute. She is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is a logistics manager at Morris Trucking Corp.
Oilar is the son of Natasha Oilar of Aloha, Ore., and Pat Oilar of Winston, Ore. He served in the United States Marine Corps, earned a bachelor’s degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, and is the administrator for the Vigo County Council.
Tracie Morris of Brownsburg, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Jennifer Glombicki of Chicago was bridesmaid.
Christopher Oilar of Portland, Ore., brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Nicholas Wilson of Terre Haute was groomsman.
A cocktail reception with dinner, entertainment and dancing followed the ceremony.
The Mexican Symphony Orchestra and The Acapulco Mariachi Band provided music.
A stateside reception took place on Dec. 27, 2008, in Indiana State University’s Hulman Memorial Student Union, Dede I.
The couple now reside in Terre Haute.
