LTC Theatre presents ‘A Christmas Story’

ROBINSON, ILL. — Tickets for the Lincoln Trail College Theater Department’s production of “A Christmas Story” are now on sale.

This production is a stage version of the popular film by the same name which tells the story of a young boy and his family growing up in the 1930s in Indiana and the little boy’s holiday wish for a Red Ryder BB gun.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 and 10, 2 p.m. Nov. 11 and 18 and at 8 p.m. Nov. 16 and 17 to coincide with the Robinson Christmas Celebration in Robinson, Ill.

Cast members include Lincoln Grade School fifth-grader Matthew Jenkins as Ralphie, the boy, and Steven Bruce as Ralph, the adult. Also cast are Amy Judy as Ralphie’s mother; Brennan Tracy as the Old Man (his dad); and Braden Thompson as Ralphie’s younger brother, Randy.

The cast also features Mindy Evans as the teacher, Miss Shields; Alan Wiseman and Xavier Brown as Ralphie’s friends, Schwartz and Flick; Grant Oxford and Ben McCullough as Scut Farkas and his fellow, Toady; Audra Bell and Kyra Bruce as Esther Jane and Helen; Tom Compton as Santa Claus; Justin Richards and Brady Hall, who make multiple cameo appearances; and Lauren Waggoner, Margarita Armashu, Meredith Berty, Seana Bruce, Resa Fuller, Annie Hays, Sarah Kennedy, Sophia Khalid and Lauren Weber, who round out the company.
