Barbara Shimer, director for the Robinson (Ill.) Children’s Summer Theater, has announced the cast for the production of “Fiddler on the Roof, Jr.”
This abridged version of the classic musical of a Russian Jewish family during the Revolution and their encounter with changing traditions, features music such as “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Matchmaker” and “Sunrise, Sunset.”
The cast features David Jenkins as Tevye, MaryAnn Catt as Golde, Shelby Titsworth as Hodel, Resa Fuller as Tzeitel, Shelby Bruner as Chava, James Hillard as Perchick, Ian Quick as Motel, and Henry Treadway as Fyedka.
Yente, the Matchmaker, will be played by Daphne Phillippe. Siana Bruce appears as Shprintze, Rachel Wiseman as Bielke, Ben McCullough as Lazar, Jace Logan as Mordcha, Joe Quick as the Priest and Rabbi, Grant Oxford as the Constable, Caroline Vermilya as Mendel, Alan Wiseman as Avram, Matthew Jenkins as Yussel, and Xavier Brown as Sasha and the Fiddler.
Villagers of Anatevka are: Abby Szombathy, Kyra Bruce, Meredith Berty, Sam Quick, Cydnee Weber, Autumn Tennison, Morgan Fiscus, Audra Bell, Jalyne Logan, Edy Treadway, Jaiden Logan, Livia Smith, Amber Hillard, Kayla Guyer, Lauren Weber, Chris Favata, Megan Gallagher, Kyah Holmes, Destanee Liston, Hannah Kite, Lucy List, Sarah Rynke, Macy Sutfin, Grace Bogard, Allison Kite, Sarah Staller, Marley McKee, Allison Nichols, Lynnzie Tardif, Sophia Khalid, Logan Baird, Alexandria Kirk, Chloe Smith and Emily Chapman.

Summer theater workshops at Lincoln Trail accepting registrations
Registration is under way for Lincoln Trail College’s Children’s Summer Theater.
The theater workshop will be conducted from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday, June 3 to 28.
