ISU Senior Day game to be televised on ESPN

TERRE HAUTE — The Missouri Valley Conference announced Thursday that Indiana State’s regular season finale against No. 12-ranked Creighton on Feb. 25 in Hulman Center has been chosen as the MVC’s “wild card” game that will be telecast on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The game — ISU’s Senior Day — will take place at 4 p.m.

The channel will be determined appproximately seven to 10 days prior to game time. Right now, the game defaults to ESPN, but that is subject to change.

ISU last played a home game on ESPN in 2002 against Illinois State. ESPN’s cameras returned to Hulman Center on Jan. 15 for ISU’s 75-65 loss to Wichita State. That game was telecast on ESPNU.

The game will be ISU”s school-record 12th appearance on the ESPN family of networks, counting ESPN3, its webcast service.

Each year, the MVC sets aside its final weekend as a “wild card” weekend. ESPN gets its choice of a MVC game, followed by Fox Sports Midwest, which broadcasts an additional MVC game that weekend.
