Terre Haute South’s girls basketball team improved to 6-3 as it defeated Indianapolis Tech 62-50 in a nonconference game played on Wednesday.
Emily Bell set the pace for the Braves as she had 17 points and seven rebounds. Tasia Brewer added 15 points and five rebounds. Labrea Joyner had 14 points and five assists.
The Braves improved to 6-3. South plays at Plainfield on Saturday.

• South Vermillion 53, South Putnam 51, OT — At Clinton, it took four extra minutes but the host WIldcats finally posted their first win of the season in a nonconference game Tuesday.
Bailey Mack had 19 points for South Vermillion, but six other Wildcats scored between four and seven points. Leanna Masters had a game-high 23 points and Mattie Varvel added 17 for the Eagles.

Wrestling
• South Putnam 65, Rockville 12 — At Rockville, South Putnam routed Rockville 65-12 on Rockville’s Senior Night in high school wrestling Wednesday.
Winning by forfeit for the Rox were Jacob Gregg in the 106-pound weight class and Jacob Thurman at 145.
Losing by fall for Rockville were Jonah Taylor (113), Chase Nichols (126), Tylen Mills (132) Justin Earl (195) and Brenden Lucas (220) and losing by a tech fall was Tate Lindsay (138).
Boys basketball
• Casey 73, Marshall 37 — At Marshall, Ill., the visitors dominated the Clark County Little Illini Conference action Tuesday night.
Brandon Wolfe led the 2-0 Warriors with 19 points. Zack Murphy and Sam Huisinga each had 11 for the winners and Matt McCown tallied eight.
Taylor Maurer had nine points for the 4-2 Lions.
Casey closed the first period with a 13-6 run and took a 24-15 into the second stanza. Wolfe had 10 of his points in the first quarter.
The Warriors used an 11-2 run to take a 35-17 lead and were up 39-21 at halftime.
Trivette Scales missed the game for Casey due to an injury, while Keegan Steele was sidelined with the flu for the Lions.
