The Indiana State women’s basketball team will continue its season this week in the Women’s NIT, making the program's first postseason appearance since a second straight WNIT appearance in 2006.
The Sycamores (18-12) will play Thursday against Youngstown State (21-9) on the Penguins' home court in Youngstown, Ohio.
Indiana State would meet the winner of Butler (17-14) and Toledo (27-3) in the second round. The Rockets are coached by Tricia Cullop, the former Evansville head coach who was also a teammate of Indiana State coach Teri Moren at Purdue.
Butler defeated Indiana State by a score of 56-45 in Hinkle Fieldhouse.
