Ministry collecting school supplies

Covenant Cooperative Ministry is collecting supplies for the First Days Back 2 School program.

The public can help by:

1. donating school supplies and backpacks.

2. donating new clothing and new shoes in all sizes for youth k-12.  

3. registering to become a sponsor for a specific low income Vigo County student.

4. making a financial contribution to the First Days Back to School.

Donations may be delivered or mailed to CCM from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday through Aug. 10.

First Days Back 2 School program offers new outfit and shoes and school supplies to Vigo County students from low income homes.

Rockville

Library collecting school supplies

Rockville Public Library is accepting donations of new, basic school supplies for needy students.

These supplies will be divided among the three school districts in Parke County and distributed to the students at the discretion of teachers and principals.

Suggested items to be donated are: No. 2 pencils, pens, facial tissues, paper, erasers, pocket folders, backpacks, hand sanitizer, and crayons.

Anyone interested in donating these items should drop them off at Rockville Public Library at 106 N. Market St. in Rockville. Donations are being accepted though Aug. 10. They will be taken to the schools on the morning of Aug. 13.
