Goals, Pride & Achievements: July 26, 2012

TERRE HAUTE — Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology conferred 417 degrees during the college’s 134th commencement exercise. The following students from the Wabash Valley earned degrees listed during the 2011-12 academic year.

Scott Gallmeier, New Goshen, son of Scott Gallmeier and Melissa Gallmeier, BS in chemical engineering; future, associate Field professional, Halliburton Co.

Zachary Gosnell, Terre Haute, son of Terri Gosnell, BS in mechanical engineering; future, associate engineer, Caterpillar Incorporated.

Eric Hannum, Terre Haute, son of David Hannum and Kathy Hannum, BS in mechanical engineering; future, field engineer trainee, Schlumburger, Ltd.

Joseph Keyes, Terre Haute, son of Randy Keyes and Jane Keyes, BS in electrical engineering; future, NRK Inc.

Jordan Maurer, Brazil, son of Steve Maurer and Kelly Maurer, BS in mechanical engineering; future, service engineer, Cummins Incorporated.

Stephen Mayhew, Terre Haute, son of Jim Mayhew and Mary Mayhew, BS in computer science; future, graduate -program-natural language, University of Illinois.

 Kathleen McNair, Terre Haute, daughter of James McNair and Bonnie McNair, BS in chemical engineering; future, chemical engineer, Honeywell UOP

Ninety three percent of Rose-Hulman’s 2012 graduates have already accepted job offers, commissions as officers in the military, or been accepted by the graduate school of their choice. The average starting salary for this year’s graduates is $64,300.
