TERRE HAUTE —
Students and teachers interested in attending Art Day at Indiana State University have until Sept. 14 to register for a day filled with hands-on learning and creativity.
Indiana State’s art department will host Art Day beginning at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 13, in the foyer of the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts.
High school students from Indiana and Illinois will gain hands-on experience under the guidance of ISU art faculty members and students in a variety of workshops such as computer animation, photography, graphic design, monoprinting, drawing, painting, metal fabrication and jewelry-making. Participants will be able to view the current Permanent Art Collection exhibit, “Love and Fame: Works by Robert Indiana and Andy Warhol,” in the University Art Gallery. Portfolio review participants need to bring a Mac-compatible CD of their work for review.
Students interested in attending need to complete a registration form and enclose a $10 registration fee which covers a T-shirt, two workshops, lunch and a reception. The registration fee will be waived for teachers accompanying their students.
• Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. For more information on Art Day, call (812) 237-3697.
