Can your school, company or church help us sponsor another teacher? E-mail kiel@candlesholocaustmuseum.org if you can help.
Limited space is available for anyone interested. Total cost is $2,000, which includes the above accommodations. For more information, or if you’re interested in taking the trip, call (812) 234-7881 or e-mail candles@candlesholocaustmuseum.org.
Budget cutbacks caused by the economic downturn are resulting in fewer field trips for students. Education about hatred and prejudice is still needed. CANDLES will assist a limited number of teachers in making a field trip to the museum possible this school year.
Teachers should contact the museum for assistance. Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis until the fund is depleted. E-mail kiel@candlesholocaustmuseum.org with a description of your students, Holocaust curriculum and the class’s needs.
Groups of under 100 cost $5 per person; more than 100 cost $3 per person. The museum is open year-round from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday or by appointment for groups.
