TERRE HAUTE —
Three players with Wabash Valley ties have been selected in the Major League Baseball Draft on Tuesday.
Indiana State pitcher Jake Petricka and center fielder Ryan Strausborger and Rose-Hulman pitcher Derek Eitel were selected.
Petricka was chosen in the second round by the Chicago White Sox. Petricka was the 63rd pick overall, the fourth-highest position a Sycamore has even been picked in.
He is the first ISU second-round pick since Casey Whitten was chosen in the second round in 1993.
