When a visiting football team scores a quick touchdown, that’s generally not a huge obstacle to overcome. But when a visiting baseball team is spotted seven runs, now that’s a huge obstacle. The Terre Haute Rex were up to the challenge of a 7-0 third-inning deficit, battling back to finally knot the score at 9-9 in the bottom of the eighth against the visiting DeKalb County Liners.

While the Paints flashed some of their offensive muscle on Tuesday, it was the Rex who got hits when it counted. Terre Haute overcame a two-run deficit to beat the Paints 7-5 in front of 735 fans at Bob Warn Field.
