Northside

Community UMC

Faith Building Hour is 9 a.m.

Celebration of Worship is 10 a.m.

Life Groups are Wednesday at 7 p.m. (6:30 p.m. — Fellowship)

The Family of Northside Community UMC would like to invite you to join us this Sunday for a time of Passionate Worship. Last week Pastor Frank continued his sermon series based upon Henry Blackaby’s book Experiencing God.

This 8 week series is called “The Seven Realities of Experiencing God.” Last week Pastor Frank talked about the how God invites us to join Him in the work God is doing all around us. We need to stop and listen and watch for God working. It isn’t about us asking God to join us, but seeking to join God.

However, when God invites us to join Him in His work, we have a decision to make. That decision is called a “crisis of belief.” Do we believe in God enough to be faithful and obedient or do we “stay inside the boat?” This week Pastor Frank will look at the 6th reality or truth “You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.” Friends, we cannot stay where we are and join God. Changes will need to be faced.

Adjustments will need to be made. These adjustments may be minor, or they may be difficult. Jesus teaches us that we need to be willing to give up everything we have to follow Him. Now that is an adjustment. We invite those who seek to Experiencing God in 2010 to join us for this 8 week sermons series. We invite you to come and experience passionate worship, intentional faith development and radical hospitality. Pastor Frank’s Sunday Sermons are also available online every Tuesday. Our mission at Northside Community is a Mission of Compassion and Hope as we intentionally “Reach the lost, Renew the Church and Reveal the Love of Christ” with compassion, hope and community.
