TERRE HAUTE — Terre Haute

Carmelite Monastery to stage annual public Novena

The Carmelite Monastery at 59 Allendale in Terre Haute, will be conducting its annual public Novena in preparation for the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, from Sunday to July 16. Many people regard this series of evening Masses and devotions as a little summer retreat, bringing renewal and refreshment to the soul.

The services begin with Rosary and the Novena prayer at 7:30 p.m. followed by Mass. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will also be available each evening.

Father Michael Berry, a Carmelite Friar from the Washington Province, will be preaching the novena. He will be concentrating on various aspects of the holiness of our Blessed Mother, with votive Masses in her honor and special readings. Everyone is welcome.
