Covenant Cooperative Ministry in Terre Haute is registering sponsors and volunteers for its Christmas program, Teen Angels & Little Angel Trees. The program also is in need of financial contributions.
Persons interested in sponsoring a youth or a family, or volunteering in the Christmas warehouse with distribution, should call 812-478-7700. CCM must register sponsors who can provide gift items for children and/or food baskets to a family before the program begins.
“It will be a challenge to find sponsors and donors in today’s economy, but the struggles these families face are greater than ever,” said Rose Aycock, executive director. “We hope local churches, businesses and individuals will continue to support our program so we can provide help to low-income families with children this Christmas. We are grateful to those who have supported the ministry for the past 10 years.”
CCM will announce application dates later this month. CCM is located at 122 S. 10 1/2 St.

The Joy Lady: What kind of promises does a God like ours deserve?
I should have known better. I did everything I could to make sure it didn’t happen, but it did anyway. I trusted someone — and when that someone didn’t do as promised, I was disappointed. I felt betrayed. How dare they not do what they said they would do?
