Academy of Arts performing in Wabash Valley

TERRE HAUTE —

The Academy of Arts is scheduled to perform “Good and Faithful” at 7 p.m. July 8 at New Covenant Fellowship.

This drama, making its debut this summer, is a new play that Nicole Chavers Stratton has compiled and adapted for stage. It contains a series of stories showing people from all walks of life that have been faithful to the Lord through their service in the local church and on the mission field. The program will be between 40-45 minutes in length.

Coupled with period costumes, props and sacred music numbers to climax the scenes, the drama admonishes the audience to be faithful to the Lord even in trying times.

The Academy of Arts, a professional Christian drama team from Taylors, S.C., employs professional stage lights, music, sound effects, costumes, props and multi-image techniques to present biblical, historical, patriotic and moral themes on stage. The group has been “making the Bible come alive” since 1971.

The church is at 3415 E. Marquette Ave. in Terre Haute. There is no admission and the performance is open to the public. A love offering will be received. For more information, call (812) 466-2800.
