St. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS — The Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods will host a “Come and See Weekend” March 26-28. Young Catholic women who are exploring a call to religious life are invited to attend the event at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.
“Faith without Action is Dead” is the theme for the weekend. Participants will have opportunities to explore religious life in the context of Jesus’ mission, seek ways to deepen their Catholic faith, and share in prayer, personal reflection, fun and faith in action. There is no charge for the weekend. Housing and meals will be provided.
Activities start with registration and a welcome at 7:15 p.m. March 26. Morning prayer opens the day at 9 a.m. Saturday with a presentation on faith in action, followed by discussion, small-group sharing, Liturgy and noon meal. The afternoon includes a visit and program at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice, a panel discussion on the topic of community living, supper and a campfire at the Lodge on the grounds.
Sunday’s schedule offers prayer time in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, Liturgy and dinner. The program ends at 2 p.m. March 28.
