Cross Lane Church to dedicate new building

After almost a year of construction, Cross Lane Community Church will dedicate their new building during a congregational service and open house on Feb. 10.

The evening will include guest speaker LD Campbell giving the message along with the recognition of some key people involved with the project.

The 21,000-square-foot facility includes a new auditorium with seating for 400 people, a renovated student/children’s space, five more classrooms, a larger nursery, additional restroom facilities, and increased fellowship space. The community is welcome to attend the open house, which will run from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Tours will be available and refreshments will be served.

Over the years the church has developed relationships with community organizations such as the Daisy Troops, Boy Scouts and Terre Town Little League.

“We are proud of our community and are looking forward to increased community outreach in North Terre Haute in the years to come,” said Tracy Sutliff, pastor of administration.

During the past couple of years Cross Lane has seen a steady increase in attendance, which had started to create some space challenges. With the new facility, they now have space to allow for their growth and outreach opportunities. They also have student and children’s space that is accommodating toward age-specific relations and teaching.
