Sunday, Oct. 30, at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Brian Morton will present “New Creation Story Theology” The classic old mythologies of Judeo-Christian creation often seem pathetic or laughable in light of modern science’s understanding of evolution and cosmology. But for the last 20 or so years another strategy has been emerging among Catholics, UUs, and Methodists and such like Michael Dowd, Michael Morwood, Thomas Berry, or Brian Swimme to find ways to take the pictures that science is giving us and turn them into 21st century myths of wonder and awe that one might try to use for religious purposes.
