Share Your Thanksgiving food drive under way
Catholic Charities of Terre Haute’s Share Your Thanksgiving Food Drive is under way through Thursday.
The drive provides hope for thousands of hungry neighbors during the holiday season with donations of nonperishable food.
Look for barrels at dozens of businesses and schools across Terre Haute and in surrounding communities. For a listing of drop-off locations visit CatholicCharitiesTerreHaute.org.
Terre Haute Church plans its annual turkey dinner
Maple Avenue United Methodist Church will host its annual turkey dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Family Life Center, 1203 Maple Ave.
The event will help support community outreach programs of the church that include after-school tutoring (grades 1-5), adult basic education classes, GED classes, after-school open gym (grades 1-5), daycare and preschool, 14th & Chestnut Community Center and United Campus Ministries.
The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children (12 and under). Carry-out is available. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the church office or at the door. For more information call 812-232-7263.

Ministry to close Co-Op Shop Thrift Store
Covenant Cooperative Ministry will close the Co-Op Shop Thrift Store at 1420 Lafayette Ave., in mid- to late November. Final sales are ongoing.
