Man pinned in garage grateful for help

I was going to a restaurant for a bite to eat. I got in a hurry. I thought I had my truck in park. I got out to see if I had 30 weight oil. I bought a lawn mowing machine the day before. The truck started to move backwards. I tried to jump in it. I got pinned between the truck and the garage frame work door with the truck running and in reverse. I knew I was in danger.

I tried my cell phone twice but it read out of range. I yelled for help but no one around. In a lot of pain I knew I had to relax. I didn’t want to go into shock. I tried my cell phone again. This time at Hendrich Title Co. where my wife works. Some other person answered the phone. I said call 911, I was in trouble. I gave her my name and address and then my phone or her phone went blank.

If I didn’t get help soon I thought my wife would find me dead. A friend of mine, Bob Miller, looked over at my house and thought something was wrong — he saw my leg pinned. He turned his truck around, pulled his truck into my driveway and pulled my truck forward and freed my body. I don’t know how much longer I could have hung on.

I want to thank Bob Miller for turning around, Hendrich Title Co. for the 911 call, Mr. Joe Watts, state police troopers, Seelyville Fire and Rescue, Trans Care ambulance and everyone else who was there that scary day.
