Annie Ferguson Balder
Annie Ferguson Balder, 89, of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at 6:45 a.m., in Meadows Manor East. She was born Sept. 22, 1920, in Vigo County, to John Ray Ferguson and Zella Gallez Ferguson. She was a homemaker, a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a member of the church choir, was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972, and Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Balder Sr., who died April 9, 1997; a son, Jake Balder; and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Jim Balder Jr. of Brazil, Don Balder Sr. and his wife Rita of Rosedale, Darrell Balder Sr. and his wife Sharon of Terre Haute; one daughter-in-law, Vickie Balder of Terre Haute; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday Dec. 2, 2009, at 1 p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday. The Rev. Paul Wagner will be officiating. Burial is in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
