Betty Jean Campbell, age 66, of Terre Haute passed away early morning, Nov. 26, 2009 in Union Hospital. She was born on April 30, 1943 in Flint, Mich. to Martin Menser and Winifred (Roberts) Beck.
Betty began working at Big Lots in 1993 and retired from there after many years of service. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steven Menser, and a sister, Sally Webster.
Surviving are her loving husband, Vernon Campbell, whom she married on June 18, 1960; children, Lorra Campbell and David Campbell and wife Lori all of Terre Haute. Also surviving are grandchildren, Lacie, Lindsie and Joey Downing, all of Terre Haute, Chelsea Campbell of Florida, Brandon Franklin, Leslee Campbell, and David Campbell all of Terre Haute; two great-grandchildren, Alexa Franklin and Linlie Rich; and one sister, Nancy Fets of Terre Haute.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday in Thomas Funeral Home. Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Felts officiating. Cremation will follow.
