Thelma Gustafson, age 84, of Terre Haute passed away Nov. 25, 2009 at Meadows Manor North Nursing Home. She was born on Nov. 4, 1925 in Terre Haute to Frank and Hazel Slater.
She was a former member of a Lutheran church in Michigan. When she was able, Thelma loved playing BUNCO and BINGO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; a grandson, Scott Gustafson; and a brother, Ronald Slater.
Survivors are children, Carolyn Hatcher and husband Larry of Rosedale, Dale Gustafson and wife Carole of Denver, N.C., and Lorinda Boger and husband Jerald of Lyons, Ind. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Derrick and Chris Hatcher, both of Rosedale, Ind., Douglas Gustafson of Terre Haute, Larissa Boger of Bloomfield, Ind., and Lynden Boger of Lyons, Ind.; 15 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Paul Slater of Terre Haute.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday in Thomas Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Manbeck officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
