Susan E. Shaw, 59, of Terre Haute died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 at Union Hospital. Susan was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Lebanon, Ind., to Roy and Marjorie Shaw.
She graduated in 1968 from Zionsville High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Indiana State University in 1973. In 2009 she earned a master’s degree in psychology from California Coast University.
She was preceded in death by her parents: And a sister, Sandra Shaw of Golden, Colo. in March 2009.
Susan was a 15-year friend of Bill W. and pursed helping others in her professional life as an addictions counselor for Recovery Associates, Inc.
She was respected by her clients and loved by her co-workers and friends, including very special friends Terry Arthur, Lois Hollingsworth and Connie Waters, all of Terre Haute; and Marj Aderman of Paris, Ill.
A memorial prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Ann’s, 1440 Locust St. Terre Haute, Sr. Connie Kramer presiding. Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Mattox-Ryan Funeral Home.
