Laresa Y. Anderson Sullivan Mitchell, 51, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at 1:39 p.m. in Union Hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1958, to Ernest Anderson Jr. and Hattie B. Leavell Anderson. She was a 1976 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School. She was formerly employed in the Records Department of AP&S; Clinic for several years. She was an active member of Saints Home Church of God In Christ, where she was an active member of the Sunday school.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Baron Mitchell Sr.; her mother; and a brother, Arthur L. Anderson.
She is survived by her father; her children, Shayla Sullivan, Shaun Sullivan, and Brandon Mitchell; four sisters, Marva (Joyce) Brooks, Darla R. Anderson, Phyllis E. Anderson, and Kathleen E. Boyd; four brothers, Allen L. Anderson (Norma), Vincent M. Anderson, Aaron E. Anderson (Deborah), and Furman F. Williams; granddaughter, Aaliyah A. Milton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elder Walter and Doris Huff; aunts, Barbara Webb and Beatrice Bateman; uncle, James Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral services are noon Saturday at Saints Home Church of God In Christ, 2210 N. 13th St., with Bishop Mark Blade officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until services Saturday at the church. Burial is in Grandview Cemetery. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Stuart Mortuary Inc. in Indianapolis.
