Florence “Cissie” Bramble Williams, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away at 7 p.m. on Nov. 19, 2009, in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Terre Haute on June 22, 1921, to Arthur Bramble and Anna Kelty Bramble.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert Bramble and William Bramble; one sister, Rita Kendall; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ed Bramble, Joseph Bramble, Jack Bramble, and Earl Bramble; as well as one sister, Virginia Bramble; and a half sister, Dorothy Coleman.
She was a retired Civil Service employee, and had previously worked for the Joint Chiefs of Staff during World War II, and had also worked at NORAD in the Cheyenne Mountains in Colorado Springs after World War II. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Colorado Springs, and volunteered her time for Silver Key. She had a great love and devotion for her family and her country.
Memorial services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at 4 p.m., with Sister Connie Kramer officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley in her memory.
