Kenneth J. Wilkey


Kenneth J. Wilkey, 63, of Terre Haute, died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, in his residence. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, for almost 40 years. Kenneth was born on April 16, 1946, in Terre Haute, to Raymond Wilkey and Fairie (Pound) Wilkey.

He is survived by his son, Bradley Wilkey of Terre Haute; two brothers, Donald Wilkey of Plainfield and Steve Wilkey of Terre Haute; a sister, Dorothy Yount of Woodland, Wash.; and his ex-wife, Beth Wilkey of Terre Haute.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Wilkey; and two brothers, Jerry Wilkey and Michael Wilkey.

Kenneth was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Half Century Club, in Clinton, and was an avid bowler.

Visitation is 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with funeral services following at 4 p.m. with Pastor Mark Grayless and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles officiating.
